Those of you who have been following me for a while know about the project that my wife and I share, called The Unenlightened Generalists. Well, one of Katie's videos recently blew up on YouTube. Even more importantly, it opened the doorway for an incredible community of folks around the world to connect with us and one another—folks who share our values and ethos, folks we're excited to share more with in the coming weeks and years.
It has long been a goal of ours to center our lives around principles of community building, knowledge sharing, and mutual aid... and The Unenlightened Generalists is a big part of how we want to make that happen.
A friend recently commented on how infrequently I post on my newsletter these days (correctly inferring that dad-life has taken over). But I've also been working on building a stronger platform for The Unenlightened Generalists. And that means changes to this site and my newsletter.
Starting soon, OdinHalvorson.com will be transitioning to an Obsidian-based website that suits my proclivities. Following in the footsteps of digital gardens before me, this will be an interconnected web of thoughts anyone can explore. It will also feature a dedicated section regarding my new life coaching business, where I have already begun taking clients.
However, Halvorson Times will continue to reach you as before! It will now just come under the umbrella of Unenlightened Generalists. We will be launching other newsletters in the future as well, with much the same sort of content I already write about—as well as new topics that Katie and I are excited to explore together.
Otherwise, nothing for you should change: you'll still be subscribed to my email list as before. Just soon, you should start seeing both more content and more potential for community interaction.
